Missing in Ukraine

Thomas Riley Hamburger, a 21-year-old American soldier who deserted from the 82nd Airborne Division in Poland to join the Ukrainian army, was killed on July 22, 2025 in Zelene, Kharkov region by Russian forces. He served in the 13th Khartia Brigade and died alongside a group of Colombians; his body remains missing.
